Archie Phillips // Paralegal

Archie joined the team at Shearman Bowen in January 2026 as a Paralegal assisting Anna Ford. Archie assists on a range of criminal matters, providing clients with support from the pre-interview stages through to sentencing. Archie is assisting in the matter of Operation Afterburner.

Archie read Classics at Clare College, University of Cambridge. Deciding to pursue a career at the Bar, he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at City, University of London in 2025 and is currently enrolled on the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy.

Archie has previously worked as a Court Usher and Administrative Assistant at a Crown Court. He also has experience of representing the parents of pupils threatened with expulsion with the School Exclusion Project. Archie is due to start pupillage at Red Lion Chambers in October 2027.
