R v Nicholas Griffin & others, Grimsby CC

Rick Shearman represented client convicted of running international pornographic DVD operation. Benefit from criminal conduct figure of £2.8m applied for by the crown; negotiated settlement: £27,000.

 

R v Christopher Quaddy, Lewes CC

Mark Bowen represented the defendant in complex and long running confiscation proceedings where Crown sought £3.3m benefit and £3.3m hidden asset order; after detailed work and exchange of written responses a final order of £36,000 was negotiated.

R v Lisa Gaskin, Leeds CC

Rick Shearman Simon Hayes and Robert Tolhurst acted for client convicted of controlling prostitution for gain, negotiating basis of plea that saw her avoid a custodial sentence. In confiscation proceedings, Crown sought benefit figure of £500,000, we negotiated settlement of £16,000.

R v Shiram Shirazi, Kingston CC
