Giles joined Shearman Bowen & Co in 2010 having previously been a partner for several years at The Stokoe Partnership and a consultant with EBR Attridge.
He has more than 20 years experience in all aspects of criminal defence, he has acted in:
- Numerous cases of Homicide, Serious Violence, Rape and other Sexual Offences, Drugs Importation and Supply, Firearms, Fraud, Police Corruption, Duty Evasion and Money Laundering.
- Trials heard in Durham, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull, Birmingham, Oxford, Winchester, Bristol, East Anglia, Kent and the South Coast as well as across London.
- Prosecutions brought by HM Customs and Revenue, the DSS and DWP, the Post Office, the RSPCA, the Federation Against Copyright Theft, Local Authorities, Trading Standards and CPS Visa team and Casework Directorate.
- Confiscation, Restraint, Cash Seizure and Enforcement under POCA, CJA 1988 and DTOA.
